I got this version as an OEM, so it did not come with any software program or added like a sata cable. I use this to back up my photos for photography because camera these days save at a greater file size and a dvd wasn't going to cut it anymore. The window vista built-in disc burner is too slow and you might have to guess how much gb is left. You will find totally free blu-ray software program available like cdburnerXP and Imgburn that works. Sadly BD-r are slow with 4x beong typical and 6x comes at a premium price. Also BD-r aren't as inexpensive as dvd, so burning takes like an hour to total and also a coaster disc is a expensive failure. I had no failure burn but, but it can be a reasonably new for me.
