This can be a good item that works as advertised. The Huge problem I have with this item could be the Price! LaCie is selling a $110 Pioneer BDR 206 drive installed in a regular LaCie USB two.0/Firewire 400 enclosure for $380! That indicates you will be paying $270 JUST for their enclosure! Why do they believe this pricing is acceptable? LaCie makes amazing external drive enclosures that look very good and work really nicely. So why only one star? As a result of the outrageous price markup! LaCie does not make any Blu-ray or DVD drives themselves. Within the case of this item all they make is an external USB/Firewire 400 enclosure, then they drop in a Pioneer BDR 206 internal SATA drive, and JACK UP the cost! (More...)
