I got this drive about 1 month ago. I've burned each and every type of media including BD-R, BD-RE DL and worked each time. Drive is silent. I also have utilized the LTH media (considerably less expensive) and worked every single time. So far 100%. The software that comes with it's nice- it lets you burn information BD-Rs.
